Here is Day 27 of my 30x30 project:
And Day 28:
And Day 29:
My friend sent me this quote that she saw floating around last week. I'd heard of the adventure/conservation documentary 180 Degrees South before (in which Jeff Johnson retraces by boat the route of a 1968 Patagonian exploration) and was inspired to finally watch it this weekend.
To create Day 29, I took one of my recent sketchbooks and carefully tore out the last page, then incorporated it to become this new collage. In my process, a sketchbooks is usually an area of experimenting and a means to an end (rather than sentimental art I hold on to) so I don't mind sacrificing their pages to create new pieces. Here's a photo I took during the process of deconstructing one page to create another (it also shows how many layers of paper and material are hidden beneath the top layer of any one painting.)
Have a nice weekend! Tomorrow I'll share the last piece of my 30x30 project and they'll be for sale later this week or early next week in my Etsy shop. You can see them all lined up here if you like: http://maechevrette.com/30x30-project/
all of your artwork is amazing and inspirational! just wondering what the prices on these smaller originals are likely to be like?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Erin! The paintings from this project are each 7"x10" (or 10"x7"), will be professionally matted to 11"x14" and priced between $75-150 depending on the amount of detail, materials used, etc.
