flat meadow cove

In June we helped Mike's parents put their sailboat into Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island for the summer and I snapped a few photos of gulls flying around the boat docks, which inspired these two little paintings.

I created them using mixed media and collage on top of a nautical map of the coastline outside of Narragansett Bay. They are both professionally matted and framed in the most gorgeous distressed lustre frames - sort of a beach-house chic style. I loved how everything turned out. They are sold.
