the white mountains
Spent the long weekend camping in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with Mike, his family and our friends. Lots of music, sunshine, drinks, apple-slingshotting, nature and sports. All my favorite things! (Except sports.)

ReplyDeleteI received your message. I have a program that tries to find things that are being given for free, and direct the traffic to the site that has the free thing. Most designers are really grateful for the traffic that I direct to them. So, I am not ashamed of anything! I have my site for almost 3 years. Until today, I received at most 4 messages with the "tone" that you used in yours. If you click on the image you mention, you can see that it directs to a blog that actually does not exist anymore. Your blog is not in my list, and was not before either. Before I even accuse this other blog of "stealing" your work, I would research first, as it might have been the engine (program) guessing the wrong image. I will remove the image that was found on that day (I had to do some research to find out what image it was). However, the reality people do not go that far in the past (people see mostly what was published today, or what has being categorized by me). I respect everyone's work, including mine.

ReplyDeleteCBH-- I contacted the owner of that blog with the same message I sent you, and she deleted the page that was offering a 2.8mb free download of my painting (with the watermark conspicuously removed) which is why it isn't there anymore. There was no mistake or "guessing"; her blog was offering the image and yours was sharing it. I hope you understand the importance of protecting my copyrighted artwork from blogs that share it inappropriately and those that link to them.
