I was so excited for this because I love Flour. After I complained to Mike that I still hadn't found "my" coffee shop since moving to Boston (I dunno, a vital requirement for any Seattle native?), he gave me gift certificates to ten coffee shops around the city for Christmas. Most of them still sit unused, because we visited Flour once and I was hooked... I like the vibe, the art and the incredible food. I already mentioned I have a slight addiction to the delicious Chunky Lola (which becomes even more irresistible once you know its adorable namesake) and enjoying one with coffee while seeing people check out my art was the perfect start to my week.
Aren't those yellow walls awesome? After breakfast it took all my willpower not to come home and paint our entire apartment yellow and get evicted immediately.
Well, you know... twist my arm, Flour.
My artwork will be up until the end of May. One painting has sold already and is being replaced by a brand new piece on Tuesday. If you happen to be local, stop by! I'll be the girl a sugar coma under a pile of Chunky Lolas.
How exciting! Everything looks yummy there! Which piece did you sell? :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenn! "Dirty Water", the Boston skyline collage up top, was (not surprisingly) the first to go :)
DeleteMae, your artwork looks fantastic on those yellow walls!! I wish i were closer - i would definitely pop in and drool at your work while i have me one of those Chunky Lolas... ;-)
ReplyDeletei love this place already and i've only seen these photos... Thanks for sharing, and bravo on the sale of a painting! xoxo
Thanks so much Pauline! Doesn't this place look great? The vibe is awesome from the minute you step in the door.
DeleteDid you take those photos? If so they are beautiful, I almost want to drive into Boston tomorrow for breakfast!
ReplyDeleteI did! All the photos on this blog were taken by my unless otherwise stated. And you should - it's worth the drive!
DeleteThis looks like such a cute coffee spot, and your artwork looks great in there. I'm sure by month's end you'll have sold everything!
