I'm still feeling so inspired by our whale-watching trip and explorations around Gloucester and Rockport last month... here is the first finished art to come out of it.

I love this painting. A painting rarely comes out exactly like I had planned in my head... but this one did. The paper details at the top and bottom are thick and paint-encrusted, like layers of rust on a ship's hull or barnacles on a pier, and stand off the canvas a bit.
