into the woods

we went camping in the white mountains last week and it was a perfect opportunity to play with my new canon rebel t2i dslr (a long, long awaited purchase.) we wandered along the river, through some fields, explored some woods, and hiked edmand's path up mount eisenhower. well, technically everyone else hiked and i stumbled and complained. but i made it out alive and with a couple good shots.

it may seem obvious now, but it is incredible how much light changes over the course of a day or even a couple hours. we had bright sun, overcast shade, and the most amazing orange glow in the afternoon. i'll need to spend more time learning with this camera, but so far it is delivering exactly what i want.
