Monica and Julie- thanks! Jennifer- I'd definitely recommend it... a DSLR really gets you the shots a point and shoot can't in terms of depth of field and light. The Canon Rebel t3i just came out so I'm sure you can snag a t1i or t2i for cheap online. Try Adorama for used gear!

I've been trying to hang on to the last vestiges of summer but it may be time to let go as the temps here this am in MN are c-c-c-c-chilly!
