inspired by: other painters' palettes

"I found that I could say things with colors and shapes
that I couldn't say any other way -
things I had no words for."
- Georgia O'Keefe

SF Girl By Bay recently shared this collection of palettes of famous painters (my favorite was Gustav Moreau) and it inspired me to do a roundup of paint palettes from other artists I admire...

Artist Xenia Hausner's palette.
The watercolors of Geninne Zlatkis.

Robin Luciano Beaty's encaustic palette (via Apartment Therapy)

mixing watercolor washes
The watercolors of Holly Ward.

The work apron of Flora Bowley.

Watercolors, old and new, of Gustavo Aimar.

Audrey Kawasaki's oil paints and palette.

  1. Really beautiful photos. Thanks for compiling this post. Great shot of your pallet as well. I also enjoy using Liquitex heavy body.
