found

"Found" is a palette knife painting/collage I created for our home... it was inspired by old washed up beach bottles I saw in one shop during my visit to Bermuda last year.

Found, a palette knife painting

Most older bottles had the date and location where they were produced stamped into their sides, so it was interesting to think about how these bottles produced all over Europe and New England in the early 1900s found their way onto the beaches of Bermuda. Shipwrecks? Messages tossed into the ocean? Boozy littering pirates? There was a really old blue bottle from Boston complete with barnacles and other sea junk that I almost bought to decorate my studio... I wish I had.

Gallery quality prints of "Found" are available in two sizes are available in my Etsy shop.

I also reached a milestone in my Etsy shop today: 3,000 sales in a little under three years. I am so appreciative of each and every sale and beyond humbled that people are using my art to decorate their homes. To celebrate, I offered a 25% off coupon code last night for the 10 sales leading up to 3,000, but I've decided to extend it until tonight. Visit my Facebook page to get the code :)
